Avionics System Prototyping

URF's Maryland Advanced Development Laboratory (MADL) Division has been a leader in developing advanced avionics concepts for over two decades.
Flight Test Techniques

URF's three aircraft have been used for missile emulation, Navy Shipboard Countermeasure tests, missile seeker testing, electro-optic tests, advanced data links, flight performance / Human factors evaluation, environmental sampling, and several avionics development projects.

Electro-Optics
MADL's experience in Electro Optic systems includes applications in the ultraviolet (UV), infrared (IR), and visible spectra. Applications include concepts for detecting enemy weapons fire from airborne or ground based platforms and the design and testing of countermeasures against various threats.
Advanced Slotted Ring Technology
The exponentially increasing volumes of data available within and through increasingly fast and massive computer and communication systems call for application of the best available techniques to extract information from voluminous data streams. The slotted ring is a unique architecture that can provide a superior capability in sorting and delivering information that is faster than any known alternative system.
Secure Microelectronics Design and Fabrication
State of the art microelectronics are critical to the development of modern avionics systems, data and image processing applications, and electro-optical systems. MADL is manning one of the leading US microelectronic laboratories for the development of advanced electronic circuitry and devices.
